Can I sue a company for negligence?

I brought a subway sandwich and while eating it I thought I broke my tooth. When I spit out the sandwich I discovered a big piece of glass. When I took the sandwich and the glass back to the store, we discovered it came from there broken cookie display. Can I sue? I have pictures of the glass and the broken display, my tooth and gum was irritated. Please advise.
